"... The scenery of Alaska is so much grander
than anything else of the kind in the world ..."

Geographer Henry Gannett, 1899

There is no experience like floating among the icebergs
at the foot of a calving glacier while listening to the haunting
sounds of the crackling ice and the barking of Harbor seals.

Captain Jeff has made hundreds of trips through these waters
and can guide you safely through the maze of ice that calves
from some of Alaska's most stunning tidewater glaciers.

This is the peak experience you have been craving,
the one that sets you apart from other travelers.

The electric cobalt blue glow coming from a floating iceberg
as big as your house cannot ever be forgotten, nor seen elsewhere.

"There is a common reaction that people have when entering this area
- that of stunned silence ...

The raw beauty of the shear, sculpted cliffs,
magnificent waterfalls cascading down thousands of feet to the sea, a narrow fjord surrounded by tall snow covered peaks with the occasional mountain goat clinging
to the cliff sides, or bears foraging on the shore

- all defy description."

Those who are seeing this magnificent area for the first time are usually so stunned that no words are spoken for extended periods of time while the scenery unfolds.  There is a mystical feeling in this wonderland that requires one to spend hours just staring at the raw naked beauty.

It is hard to describe Alaska, because for most of us, there is nothing in our experience with which to compare it.  Alaska has three times the coastline of the rest of the United States put together and is home to many of the tallest mountains, longest rivers, and largest lakes in the world, with glaciers, forests, and parklands bigger than entire states.

In these magnificent settings, Alaska offers superb wildlife viewing opportunities: Bald eagles, puffin, muskoxen, caribou, and grizzly bears roam wild and free.  Walrus, killer whales, humpback whales, dolphin and a variety of species of birds thrive undisturbed in their rich, natural habitats.

From the Alaska state website:

Blue Arctic Ice "This spectacular and untamed country will be enjoyed most by those who recognize that new experiences are essential for a well-lived life.  In Alaska, you may discover new truths about yourself and find nourishment in the marvels you encounter.

You may not be the same person you were before climbing these mountains, hiking this tundra, paddling these rivers, and embracing these new horizons."
 - Alaska State website

Alaska and coastal British Columbia offer some of the most diverse, pristine and spectacular scenery in the world.  Travel through the heart of the forest as you follow the Inside Passage north and enjoy the sensation of being surrounded by tall
green trees.

Exploring tidewater glaciers, photographing Alpine valleys rich with wildflowers and local history, experiencing the abundant wildlife or soaking in mineral rich hot springs at the end of the day - are all rewards available to the adventurous traveler.

Visit a Totem Pole park or an abandoned cannery, hike in the pristine wilderness of the Tongass forest, kayak along the shore in search of bears and goats, take the dingy out for further exploration or simply sit on the beach with a picnic lunch next to a roaring fire and listen to the waves lap on the shore.

If you are looking for another kind of excitement, your journey can also include a visit to a native village or town in Alaska or British Columbia where you can enjoy all that the locals have to offer.

Whatever your desires, we can make them happen.  We will ensure that you and your companions receive expert training and experience the excursion you are looking for.  Cruising and learning has never been more fun!
